Mattress World Northwest at the Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Parade

 

Huzzah! This past Saturday, the streets of Sherwood, Oregon came alive with medieval magic — and Mattress World Northwest was right in the thick of it.

We were proud to participate in the 73rd annual Sherwood Robin Hood Festival Community Parade, one of Oregon's most beloved free events and a cherished tradition since 1954. With nearly 20,000 attendees lining the streets, the energy was incredible — and we had an absolute blast being part of it.

Merry Men (and Women) on the Move

Our crew showed up ready to celebrate. The Mattress World Northwest team hit the parade route with a decorated truck float and a crew of walkers decked out and ready to greet the crowd. We were also thrilled to have Sherwood Cheer join us in the festivities — their energy and enthusiasm were a perfect match for the day, and together we made quite the parade presence.

And of course, no MWNW parade appearance would be complete without a very special guest — Mattress Millie made her return, delighting kids and adults alike as she made her way through Sherwood's streets. If you spotted her and got a wave, you know exactly how fun she is to find in a crowd.

Mattress World Northwest was also a proud sponsor of this year's festival, themed "The People's Choice" — a fitting title for an event that's been bringing Oregon families together for over 70 years. The Robin Hood Festival is everything we love about this region: free to attend, family-friendly, community-driven, and genuinely fun.

With live entertainment, the Sylvan Archers' International Archery Tournament, a Castle Building Contest, over 100 vendor booths, and multiple stages of performances, there's a reason this event draws crowds from across the Pacific Northwest every third weekend of July.
