Join Us at the 2026 Linn County Veterans Day Parade in Albany
Every November, downtown Albany fills with flags, marching bands, color guards, and families lining the streets to say thank you to the men and women who have served our country. This year, Mattress World Northwest is proud to sponsor the message for the 2026 Linn County Veterans Day Parade, produced with Albany Visitors and airing on KEZI 9 ABC.
As a locally owned and family operated Oregon business with stores right here in Albany, we’re honored to help invite our neighbors to come out, line the parade route, and show our veterans how much they mean to this community.
2026 Linn County Veterans Day Parade: Date, Time & Location
When: Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at 11:11 am
Where: Downtown Albany, Oregon
The parade steps off at 11:11 am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month — the same hour, day, and month the armistice ending World War I took effect in 1918, the moment Veterans Day grew from. It’s a small detail that makes the morning even more meaningful.
What You’ll See Along the Parade Route
The Linn County Veterans Day Parade brings out the whole community. Along the route through downtown Albany, you can expect:
- The American flag on full display — including a giant flag carried down the street by volunteers
- Military color guards and honor guards presenting the colors
- Student cadets and marching units from local schools
- Veterans and service organizations riding on decorated floats and vehicles
- Red poppies, red, white & blue, and thousands of neighbors waving flags from the sidewalks
Whether you’re a veteran, a military family, or simply someone who wants to say thank you, there’s a place for you along the curb.
Why We Support the Veterans Day Parade
The parade message we’re sponsoring opens with a quote from journalist Elmer Davis that says it best:
“This nation will remain the land of the free only as long as it is home of the brave.”
Our veterans and their families are our customers, our neighbors, and members of our own team. Supporting the Veterans Day Parade is one small way for Mattress World Northwest to help the Albany community come together and honor their service. It’s part of a long tradition of giving back to the Oregon communities we serve, from Golf for a Cure to our relationship with Special Olympics Oregon.
Tips for Attending the Parade
Arrive early. Downtown Albany fills quickly on parade day, so plan extra time for parking and finding a spot along the route.
Dress for November in the Willamette Valley. Layers, a rain jacket, and a folding chair or blanket will make the morning more comfortable.
Bring a flag. Few things mean more to the veterans passing by than a sea of waving flags and a heartfelt “thank you for your service.”
Bring the kids. The parade is a great way to teach the next generation about service, sacrifice, and community.
